The doctor said there are crosses to bear;
Life, after all, is certainly not fair,
But the good news, big guy? There’s little change
From your last check-up—about the same range
Of motion. No involvement with your sense
Of sight, touch or hearing. It’s your balance
I'm concerned about. You should be more set
When you step. A corset? It would abet
You, support your back. You use arm braces,
Knee pads, assistives, aids for other places
And yes, each was a dignity hurdle,
But please consider wearing this girdle.
I gave in right off, and asked, making her blink,
For something frilly and lacy in shocking pink. |
